My child has always LOVED coming to Herring Brook.There has not been one day she has not wanted to come to school. She feels safe, comfortable, loved, valued, and nurtured in this setting you have all worked so hard to create for kids and adults. This experience at preschool for the past 2 years, has been such a positive one for my child and us. There is such a delicate balance that needs to be found when dealing with young children and parents…You all have found that balance and created an introductory school setting that is exemplary. "The unbelievable friendliness and acceptance of each child is what made my decision to enroll my child at Herring Brook so easy. The day-to-day warm and loving treatment of children was SO obvious when I first observed Herring Brook- and each day since, it has been equally consistent! Just as each child is unique - so are the teachers. They excel in friendliness and professionalism! The staff works harmoniously together and they create an extremely nurturing environment. Learning, positive attitudes, problem-solving and curiosity have been instilled in each child as a part of the curriculum. The children know what is expected of them, while their individual spirits are encouraged to grow. In addition to the guidance of the SUPER teachers, my preschooler has also benefited greatly from the added enrichment of the visiting teachers: Big Ryan’s storytelling, the Music lessons, Early Start Art Class, Health & Hygiene, etc... Herring Brook has a wonderful on-going curriculum that seems to thoroughly prepare them for kindergarten. I can’t thank you enough for the experience my child had at Herring Brook. I wish all her academic years could be this GREAT!" |

"I am so glad I decided to send my daughter to Herring Brook. When I discussed with friends (who also have kids in preschool) and I told them of all the activities and field trips, they couldn't believe it. I feel my daughter is very well taken care of. I got to know all the teachers by chaperoning some of the summer camp field trips. I think they're all SUPER & CARING! She loves to go there. She enjoys the arts & crafts, the hot lunch days, the terrific playground, the special guests who visit the school, etc... The locked door and security system also made me feel comfortable right away. And thanks for the newsletter; letting us know what they are learning in school. That's all a parent can ask for-- that their child is looked after, loved, stimulated and protected. What could you possibly improve on? I believe you have positively covered all bases!!!" |

"My child has LOVED being a student at Herring Brook. My daughter has grown, made wonderful friends, had a ton of fun, remained safe and is happy and satisfied when she comes home. She’s developed socially, academically, and physically to an impressive degree, and I know that the careful, thorough educational program, combined with the nurturing love provided by Herring Brook staff is largely responsible. The curriculum is impressive; with a wonderful ability to balance fun with learning. I’m continually amazed at the complexity of concepts that the children are exposed to (and enthusiastically absorb). I’m delighted especially by the science and social studies! The teachers at Herring Brook have been GREAT for my child!! The staff has a terrific balance between nurturing and structuring and I appreciate deeply the teachers’ sincere concern and sensitivity toward my child as well as any of my concerns or needs.
