The Rainbow Room is for Herring Brook’s youngest preschoolers. Children start in the Rainbow Room if they are 3 in September(and then they turn 4 at various times throughout the year.) This room is vibrant with activity, learning and friendship. The highlights of our Rainbow Room are the colorful Rainbow mural, the library loft, the dramatic play area and being able to spend exhilarating quality school time with Miss Lynne. Miss Lynne is lead teacher in the Rainbow Room. She places heavy emphasis on social skills, the art of friendship and cooperative play, manners and self-help skills. Also, favorite activities in the Rainbow Room include arts & crafts, singing and stories. The Rainbow Room can take a maximum of 16 children with 2 teachers. (All children must be fully toilet trained.)
