The Herring Brook Facility

Herring Brook Day School is a non-denominational preschool owned and operated by Christ Lutheran Church. We do NOT teach religion.  However, we DO place a strong emphasis on teaching children social values & character development in addition to socialization skills, academic enrichment, physical dexterity and kindergarten readiness; all in a safe and secure Christian church setting.

The school consists of two preschool classrooms – The Rainbow Room (for 3’s & early 4’s) with a maximum of 16 children with two teachers, and the Great Room (for 4’s & 5’s) with a maximum of 20 children with two teachers. The ratio is anywhere between 6 to 10 children to one teacher.

Herring Brook is licensed by the State of Massachusetts Department of Early Education & Care (EEC - License # 8119751).  The preschool is located in the lower level of the church and is directed by Helyn Bailey and governed by the Board of Education of Christ Lutheran Church.
  
A security system has been installed for the added safety of the preschoolers.  The school entrance is in the back of the building and the preschool door remains locked during the school day.  Only current Herring Brook parents and staff have the access code to open the door.  All visitors and others must be screened and authorized before gaining access to the building.
